Casestudy 1
Mr Lake was asked by the Welsh Assembly Government to go and meet with Business X who had been operating for a long time but had recently run into financial difficulties and were looking to reduce their costs.
Mr Lake met with the Company Director and found out their purchasing costs were £50M per annum. He advised of the benefits of sourcing certain products from China. Mr Lake then discussed with our suppliers in China if they could get their products and if they would be cheaper.
Mr Lake was then advised by the Director that he could save them 26% on their £50M purchasing costs.
